The Vice Principal plays a pivotal role in supporting the school principal and shaping MIA’s future. You will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the Elementary and Middle Schools, collaborating with faculty, and ensuring a positive learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities

  • Academic Leadership: Participate in developing and evaluating educational programs, promoting innovative teaching methods, and overseeing assessments.
  • Faculty Support: Recruit, hire, and mentor teachers, guide professional development, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Student Success: Manage student support services, collaborate with parents, and ensure a positive and safe learning environment.
  • School Operations: Assist in creating the school calendar, supervising daily activities, managing student attendance, and overseeing facilities.
  • Communication: Foster open communication with parents, faculty, and the community, serving as a spokesperson for the Elementary and Middle Schools.
  • Islamic Integration: Ensure Islamic values are woven throughout the curriculum and school culture.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Administrative and leadership experience in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of Islamic principles and practices (preferred).
  • Proven classroom teaching experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.

License/Certification:

  • Teaching Certification is preferred

ELA and Social Studies Teacher

Full Job Description

Manarah Islamic Academy is looking for a committed ELA and Social Studies Teacher to complement our qualified workforce of educators. You will be responsible for preparing and implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements. It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust. They will know how to organize a class and make learning an easy and meaningful process. The goal is to help cultivate the students’ interest in education and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
  • Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
  • Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.)
  • Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
  • Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
  • Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
  • Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.
  • Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.
