🔢 Little Learners Math Club
Hands-on, active math enrichment for Pre-K through 1st Grade students.
Program Overview
Little Learners Math Club is a 6-week, hands-on math enrichment program designed specifically for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade students.
Each week's activities are tailored by grade level so students can work on math skills appropriate for where they are developmentally. Through games, movement, building, counting, shapes, patterns, and interactive play, students strengthen early math skills while having fun and learning together.
6-Week Program Curriculum
Students work with cups, dots, cotton balls, and pom-poms to develop counting and early math skills.
- Pre-K: Match dots on cups with the correct number.
- Kindergarten: Count dots and write the corresponding number.
- 1st Grade: Add the dots and write the sum.
- Toss cotton balls into numbered cups to count, add, or subtract; practice estimating quantities and verifying answers.
Students explore geometry and spatial reasoning through building, cutting, matching, and creating.
- Pre-K: Work with construction paper to create a number caterpillar using shapes.
- Kindergarten: Cut, connect, and identify shapes while practicing number recognition.
- 1st Grade: Combine 2-D shapes to create new shapes and explore 3-D shapes.
- Interactive play with magnetic shapes, whiteboards, and foam shapes.
Students use connecting cubes to recognize, create, and extend patterns.
- Pre-K: Simple repeating patterns (such as 1-1-1-1).
- Kindergarten: Alternating patterns (such as 1-2-1-2).
- 1st Grade: Advanced repeating patterns (such as 1-2-3-1-2-3).
- Build towers with connecting cubes and practice roll-and-build challenges.
Students use popsicle sticks for number recognition, comparing, ordering, and counting.
- Pre-K: Write and match numbers on popsicle sticks.
- Kindergarten: Compare and arrange sticks from short to long.

- Build a path with sticks, count total sticks used, and guide a ball along the path.
Active outdoor math games combining physical movement and active learning.
- Hopscotch number challenges, counting, and skip counting games.
- Addition & subtraction movement games.
- Number and tally-mark matching games + Beach ball addition and subtraction.
Students create their own custom Ramadan calendar, applying math skills, counting, and expectations tailored to each grade level.
