Chess Club provides students with a fun and engaging opportunity to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, patience, concentration, planning, creativity, and strategic decision-making. Students of all skill levels can strengthen their chess abilities while learning good sportsmanship, confidence, perseverance, and respect for others.

At Manarah Islamic Academy, we view chess as more than a game. It is an intellectual activity that challenges students to analyze situations, consider different possibilities, anticipate consequences, make thoughtful decisions, and learn from both success and mistakes.

Chess naturally engages many of the thinking skills that students use throughout their education. During a chess game, students must read carefully, identify important information, consider multiple possibilities, manage time, avoid impulsive decisions, and review choices before committing.

Note: Chess contributes to a broader educational environment developing reasoning and persistence. It is designed as a complementary enrichment habit for academic readiness, college preparation, and future careers.
